Blurb:
Abby Gauthier is close to getting everything she's worked so hard for. The band she manages, Sinister Riot, has been offered a major record contract. But it comes with a catch: the band must add Eli Jamison, winner of the talent show The Spotlight, to the lineup.

“You’ve been my favorite part of this city.”

Devon Sinclair is the singer of Sinister Riot, and he's Abby's best friend. She's in love with him, but fears she'll lose him if she makes the first move. Devon knows adding Eli to the band is a mistake, and he's right. Eli's interested in more than just making an album. He wants to take control of the band, and he wants to get to know Abby better. A lot better. When tensions between Devon and Eli threaten to destroy Sinister Riot, Abby must act on her true feelings or lose everything she's ever wanted.

“I may not have been your first, but I’m going to make damn sure I’m your last.”

My Review

It's another great addition to The Spotlight series.  With a fun cast of characters, a storyline that keeps you wanting more plus some talented writing, Too Many Reasons will take you on an up and down ride through Sinister Riot's entry into the mainstream music world as well as Abby and Devon's relationship (with a bit of Eli thrown in for some added drama).

Abby makes a great female lead being strong-willed, knowing what she wants to do with her life, and working hard to make it happen.  Devon-definitely swoon-worthy, and you really feel for him with everything that he goes through with the band's upheaval.  Eli-at first, so sweet...and then, not so much...but in the end, really a great guy.  You KNOW exactly who Abby really belongs with, it's just the getting there that's the dramatic part.

The story did keep my interest the whole way through, and flowed really well so that I flew right through the book.  The author does a good job with the relationships between all of the characters, and finds just the right balance between sweet and steamy.  And I liked all of the characters, though Abby's sister Mallory did become a little annoying from time to time.

Too Many Reasons was a 4-star read for me, and I'd recommend it for contemporary romance fans who like a bit of rock star action in their stories.
