Blog Tour, Review and Giveaway: Sweet Girl by Cristin Harber

Sometimes falling in love means going through the worst kind of hell.

Nicola Hart grew up under the heels of her older brother and his sexy best friend, Cash Garrison. Years of ignoring her spark with Cash has transformed their friendship into a slow burning sizzle. One night with him could ruin everything. Or it could be more than she ever dreamed. They play. They flirt. But they haven't crossed the line because too much is at stake. Family. Friendship. And the deepest kind of love that she'd have to be crazy to walk away from.

She's his best friend's little sister. The definition of hands off. Cash has tried to ignore her for years. Those innocent eyes and her smile that screams kiss-me-if-you-dare... Instead, he's looked at every pretty little thing who's crossed his path, all to ignore the girl he seems destined to want. But when his hard partying ways get old and everyone at school is interested in Nicola, it's time to stake a claim. To make Nicola his girl, no matter the risks, and hold the hand of the one he really loves.
Sweet Girl is the novel length prequel to USA Today best-selling Garrison's Creed. Before Cash and Nicola can fall in love forever, they have to suffer through their first love.

My Review

Anyone who knows me knows I loathe paying full price for anything and look for sales, freebies and giveaways when getting books…after all, the less I pay, the more I can get, the more I can read, right?

What does that have to do with Sweet Girl?  Well, the moment I finished it, I HAD to get the book it was a prequel to, Garrison’s Creed-and I paid full price, snapping it up immediately because I MUST know what happens with Nicola and Cash.  That’s how this book totally grabbed me, sunk me into their story-and didn’t let go.

You’ve got a great cast of characters that are so very easy to relate to, a classic best friend’s sister/brother’s best friend crush that turns in to much more, plus writing that sucks you in and holds you deep in the story until the next thing you know, you’re scrambling to 1-click the next in the series.

And Cash….mmm, Cash…he’s going to be a solid addition to your book boyfriend list.  He’s got the whole alpha male, protective, sexy thing going on and you’re going to love him.

The story does end on a bit of an unhappy note, but remember-it’s a prequel to Cash and Nicola’s story in Garrison’s Creed so even though it feels unfinished and like you’re going to be cursing a cliffhanger, their story will continue and get a full resolution in the next book…which if you’ll excuse me, I need to get back to reading ;-)
