About AS LONG AS YOU LOVE ME:
Most people dream about getting out of Sharon, Nebraska, but after three years away, Lauren Barrett is coming home. There are the justifications she gives to everyone else—missing her family, losing her college scholarship. And then there’s the reason Lauren can’t admit to anyone: Rob Conrad, her best friend’s older brother.
Football prowess and jaw-dropping good looks made Rob a star in high school. Out in the real world, his job and his relationships are going nowhere. He can’t pinpoint exactly what’s missing until Lauren comes back to town, bringing old feelings and new dreams with her. But he’s the guy that women love and leave—not the one who makes them think of forever.
Though she’s terrified of opening up, Lauren’s ready to take that chance. Because the only thing more important than figuring out where you truly belong is finding the person you were meant to be with.

I'm a big fan of the "falling for my best friend's brother" storyline, and As Long As You Love Me delivered wonderfully on it. The characters that were introduced in the first book of the series, I Want it That Way, are back and this installment focuses on Lauren and Nadia's brother Rob. We didn't see much of Rob in the first book, and at that time (as well as at the start of this one), he was with Avery.
Once again the writing was excellent, providing a good flow to the story and keeping me engaged all the way through.
Rob is so, so, so sweet and you can't help but fall head over heels for him...and feel bad for the way he feels about himself and his own worth. Anyone can clearly see he has so much to offer. Lauren has her own issues, but is so wonderful at helping Rob see how fantastic he really is, and making him feel wanted for HIM and not his looks. The two of them really work well as a couple.
So when the big conflict comes up, I was sitting there thinking, "Oh no, she did not just do that!" And I felt so horrible for Rob...and so very relieved once everything was resolved. I mean, REALLY relieved.
It's hard for me to say much more without spoiling things, just know that you're going to get a fantastic story (along with a nice sideline of Lauren's mom finding someone) with a leading man that you will be absolutely in love with.
A solid 4.5-star read (that big conflict just bugged me enough for that 1/2 star) for the 18+ crowd, and it leaves me counting the days until the final book in the trilogy comes out!
