Double Full:
Up and coming football hero, Colt Michaels, makes a Hail Mary pass one night in the college locker room that results in the hottest, sexiest five days of his young life. However, interference after the play has him hiding his past and burying his future in the bottom of a bottle. While Colt seems to have it all, looks can be deceiving especially when you're trapped so far in a closet that you can't see your way out.
Jace Montgomery single-handily built the largest all-star cheerleading gym in the world, driven by a need to forget a life-altering encounter with a handsome quarterback a decade ago. When he learns some upsetting news about his ex-lover, his heart executes a barrel roll and his carefully placed resolve tumbles down without a mat to absorb the shock. Can his island escape help him to finally let go of the past and move his life forward?
Full Disclosure:
Deputy United States Marshal Mitch Knox apprehends fugitives for a living. His calm, cool, collected attitude and devastatingly handsome good looks earn him a well-deserved bad boy reputation, both in the field and out. While away on an assignment, he blows off some steam at a notorious Dallas nightclub. Solving the case that has plagued him for months takes a sudden backseat to finding out all there is to know about the gorgeous, shy blond sitting alone at the bar.
Texas State Trooper Cody Turner dreams of being a Texas Ranger, and he’s moving up the ranks, well on his way to making it happen. But for the next two-weeks, he’s on vacation, and his plans include relaxing and helping out on his family’s farm. The last distraction he needs is a tatted-up temptation who walks into the bar and steals his baseball cap.
As Mitch’s case gains nationwide attention, how will he convince the sexy state trooper that giving him a chance won’t jeopardize his life’s plan...especially when the evil he’s tracking brings the hate directly to his doorstep, threatening more than just their careers?
Full Domain:
Honor, integrity, and loyalty are how Deputy US Marshal Kreed Sinacola lives his life. A former SEAL now employed by the Special Operations Group of the US Marshal Service, Kreed spends most of his life working covert operations…and avoiding relationships. But his boundaries blur and his convictions are put to the test when he finally comes face-to-face with the hot computer geek he’s been partnered with.
Aaron Stuart strives for one thing: justice. Young and full of idealism, his highly sought after computer skills land him a position with the National Security Agency. Aaron’s biggest hazard at his job is cramped fingers, but all that changes when he’s drawn into the middle of a dangerous federal investigation. And his attraction to his new inked up, dark-haired partner provides another kind of threat altogether. While Aaron tries desperately to place a firewall around his heart and fight his developing feelings, one misstep on his part could ultimately destroy him.
The solution isn’t as easy as solving the case, which is treacherous enough as it is. But the growing sexual attraction between them threatens to derail more than just Kreed’s personal convictions as he quickly learns temptation and matters of the heart rarely fit easily into the rules he’s lived by. Will Kreed be able to convince Aaron to open his heart and face the fact that sometimes the answers aren’t always hidden in code?
Double Full:
This was the first M/M book I've ever read. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I had heard wonderful things about this author so I decided to give this one a try. I have to say, this book was amazing. The story has such depth and you come to truly care for the characters of Jace and Colt. There is nothing cliche about either of them, and they are written so well that you find yourself rooting them on toward a HEA.
This book is first and foremost a love story, made more complicated by the fact that it is not only M/M, but also in a sports setting which makes their relationship all the more tricky to deal with. The author handles all of these facets with ease, giving us a poignant tale that totally draws you in and keeps you glued to the page. I truly had a hard time putting this down, staying up until the wee hours of the morning reading.
In this story you get extremely hot and steamy-and a ton of it. But the scenes are not gratuitous, they actually demonstrate the closeness of the two main characters...but the scenes are strictly 18+ and are not for anyone who is not completely comfortable with reading sexual scenes of this nature. For my first time reading a M/M romance, I thought the scenes were appropriate and not overdone.
At the end you get the tease of another book in the series, which I've already added to my TBR along with the rest of Kindle Alexander's books (more Jace and Colt? Maybe Mitch? Either or both would be great!). The author's writing is fantastic-and worth giving a shot even if you are unsure about trying M/M. A 5 star definite recommend from me, and one I'll surely re-read in the future.
Full Disclosure:
When I read the first book in the Nice Guys series, Double Full, I thought, "Damn, this author can sure write one hell of a love story!" Now after finishing Full Disclosure, that thought popped right back into my head along with "and some awesome suspense too!" Because not only are you going to get a story of finally finding "the one", you've got an awesome, engrossing, edge of your seat plot as the series goes even deeper into the mystery of the case that started in Double Full.
Mitch's strong, very "out" personality makes him fun and very likable, and Cody's more reserved, more quietly "out" one makes him the perfect complement. Put the two of them together and you don't just get sparks-you get an explosion, so sit back and get yourself ready for some hellacious fireworks!
We also get some great, quick scenes with Jace and Colt, our guys from Double Full. The two of them are so much fun, and it was so great to get to see more of them in this story. And speaking of this story-the plot gets even more detailed into the unsettling case that Mitch is now working on...so in addition to the fantastic story of Mitch pursuing Cody (and Cody trying so hard to resist, and thankfully failing miserably), there's intrigue and danger woven in as Mitch and his team get closer to discovering who is behind the attacks in his case.
That's one thing you'll see a lot more of in this installment-scenes regarding the case and where the investigation is going. Don't let the large amount of time that is devoted to these scenes deter you from this book-believe me, the entire story is well worth it--plus the case plays an important role in this whole series, it's not just filler to get you from one steamy scene to the next.
A riveting story of the pursuit of love and happiness, the darker side of those with no tolerance, plus you'll get those hot and sexy scenes of Mitch and Cody together...put all that together and you get 5 freakin' fantastic stars!
Just a reminder, this series is M/M and is strictly 18+ for the erotic content, adult language and adult themes...and comes with my highest recommendation-and a plea for the author to quickly write the next story of Kreed and Aaron because I cannot wait!
Full Domain:
Ever since we got our first glimpse of Kreed in Full Disclosure, and especially after the way Aaron point-blank shot him down later in that book, I've been not-so-patiently waiting for his story. The wait? So worth it. #SinIsBack for damn sure.
One of the things this series is known for is the suspense and acute attention to the detail of the criminal portion of the stories, while still giving you all the intense, pulse-pounding relationship parts, and making it all work together for an overall blockbuster read. Full Domain is no exception to this, and also brings with it two main characters with some extra secrets...you know, just in case we needed some more suspense and tension.
When it comes to the sexual tension, you'll find there's a ton...and when it finally comes to a head...hoo-boy, have your fans and ice prepared (or maybe just an extra set of batteries). And let me just interject here that Aaron using Kreed's nickname of "Sin" during...yeah, that's hot.
Kreed is definitely sin personified, and with his past in the military that still haunts him along with his already strong alpha male demeanor, he is simply irresistible. But don't let all that fool you...he's got a bit of a luxurious side too (when it comes to his body...). Aaron is really the one hiding secrets-ones that can be real game-changers. I love his quirkiness and individuality. He and Kreed fit really well together.
We also get to see Jace and Colt as well as Mitch and Cody from the first two books. Since I can't get enough of any of these guys, getting more of them here in Full Domain is a treat, especially since it's not just some short cameos, but as full supporting characters. Oh Mitch, you are my absolute favorite of this whole series-even when you aren't a lead character.
With rock solid writing, another fantastic plot that pulls everything from the series together, and some interesting things that happen at the end that will give all of us more than a little hope of seeing more of all of the Nice Guys in the futures, Full Domain is the full package, and is an excellent finish to this stunning series. The entire series is a top recommendation for me, and Full Domain is another fantastic 5-star read.
Recommended to 18+ only due to adult language and explicit M/M sexual content (oh my...yes). If you are a fan of M/M romance with action and suspense, this entire series is a must read!
The Bonus Materials:
All of the characters in this series were just a joy to read, and the bonus scenes in this collection let readers delve back into their lives both before and after they meet each other. There are scenes of sweet and scenes of heat, and all of it lets us get to know all of the guys even better.
I loved getting to see how Jace got his start training others to cheer, Colt’s overwhelming emotion marrying Jace in a not-so-drugged-up setting, Cody’s family moments, Mitch and Cody during what should be family holiday, and oh my goodness Kreed and Aaron getting hot and heavy after Aaron has just a tad too much to drink. The glimpses into all of them individually before each couple gets together and then after were a fantastic way to learn even more about who they all are, and how perfect each couple is together.
The final treat in the bonus sections? Recipes from several of the foods mentioned in the books (yes, I’m making a grocery list).
Overall:
This series holds a special place in my heart, as Double Full was the first M/M romance I ever read. All of the books are well written and have solid storylines that will grab your attention and not let go with the suspense, the romance, and the heat. This entire series gets a 5-star, Top Recommendation from me!
Best Selling Author Kindle Alexander is an innovative writer, and a genre-crosser who writes classic fantasy, romance, suspense, and erotica in both the male/male and male/female genres. It's always a surprise to see what's coming next!
I live in the suburbs of Dallas where it's true, the only thing bigger than an over active imagination, may be women's hair!
Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life - I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations - regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal... I don't want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I'm going to tell you about Kindle.
I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I'll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died - weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn't have to be alone.
That time in my life was terrible. It's everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.
Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness - it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.
Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship. There wasn't a time she wasn't there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and harmony. It's its own kind of support group. I know without question I wouldn't be here today without her.
