Three Christmases Synopsis:
As the holiday season approaches in this fourth book in the No Weddings Series, Cade Michaelson strives to be better at balancing work and love, and Hannah Martin’s growing ability to trust is put to the test.
Lust and friendship brought us together, but with the increasing demands of my two businesses, Hannah’s thriving bakery, and our successful event-planning company, stability becomes my focus.
Then a once-in-a-lifetime career opportunity takes me to the West Coast, and everything goes into a tailspin.
Laughter, love, and excitement fill our lives, but Cade refuses to settle into the wonderful bliss we’ve found—he wants spectacular fireworks and an unshakable foundation. Driven like no one I’ve ever met, Cade insists a dream job across the country will be better for our future together, but I worry about whether we can survive the present apart.
When intimate time diminishes…and lives get more hectic…
Will a little bit of faith be all that it takes? Or will the sacrifice to get there be too great?

My Review
I didn't think this series could get any better. I was so very wrong.
After making it through both of their pasts, Cade and Hannah are stronger together than ever...but the success of both of their professional lives may just be what makes everything unravel.
Anyone who has done the long-distance thing will tell you it's hard. Unbelievably hard. And there's only just so much that calling, texting and emailing can do-an unhappy fact that Cade and Hannah get to find out firsthand in Three Christmases. But if you want to see how two people who are meant to be together handle it, this is the perfect example.
The tension ramps back up with all of the time they have to spend apart, and the always exceptional writing, insanely strong and loving characters, and continuing humor-as well as that tension-are going to keep you glued to the pages...again. Meaning, clear your schedule because you will NOT want to put this book down.
The relationships are complicated, the drama intense, the fun banter ever-present...and it all adds up to a fantastic ending and an amazing series that you'll want to re-read again...and again...and probably again.

Another well-deserved 5-stars for the unputdownable Three Christmases!
No Weddings:
Award-winning author Kat Bastion teams with her husband, Stone Bastion, in this first book in the No Weddings Series about Cade Michaelson, a successful man with his sights set on a new venture in business, and Hannah Martin, the woman who makes it personal.
I think I have my act together as a successful bar owner, my master’s degree within reach, and a list of no-strings-attached women warming my bed. Turns out, I don’t.
Hannah believes she has safeguarded her wounded heart by shunning men and focusing on her new baking business. The thing is, she hasn’t.
When my three sisters and I form an event-planning business with Hannah as our baker, I have no idea how my life is about to change. As Hannah and I work closely together, the attraction between us becomes irresistible. And complicated. I’ve promised my sisters I wouldn’t mix business with pleasure. But I’ve never been one to follow the rules.
My Review
How to sum up this awesome book? Great storyline, fun characters that have depth, lots of funny moments (I think my co-workers think I'm a bit odd with the laughing outbursts when I was reading during my lunch break), an overload of sexual tension...and two main characters, Cade and Hannah, that are just SO right for each other.
This book flowed smoothly and between the funny lines, emotions and continual tension I stayed riveted to the pages the whole way through. You've got your classic playboy type male lead and the woman who finally draws his focus, while both still have their own painful pasts to work through-without realizing until quite a ways into the story just how similar those pasts really are.
I loved that this was told from Cade's point of view. It's always refreshing seeing things from the male perspective, and not having the usual overly girly, emotional thoughts going on.
Both Cade and Hannah are strong characters, and Hannah's feisty nature once Cade breaks through her "Ice Queen" front brings a snarky, fun feel to the story. Oh, and did I mention the laughs...and innuendos... ... ...
A mostly lighthearted, fun, sexy read with some relationship insight thrown in for good measure, this was a 5-star read for me (and meant for the 18+ crowd), and I can't wait to get started on the next book in this series!

One Funeral:
Chosen by FreshFiction.com as their Fresh Pick for October 7, 2014
The stakes climb higher in this second book in the No Weddings Series for Hannah Martin, a woman restrained by her past, and Cade Michaelson, the man who could help set her free.
I’m drawn to Cade as he charms his way into more of my life and offers me something I truly haven’t ever had: a friend. Yet his humor, patience, and drop-dead sexiness take my breath away, and I know my heart is at risk. I want to move forward but am terrified I can’t.
Cade seems to have it together from his own devastating heartache. His subtle actions, however, suggest a different story. And even though he says he wants more, I wonder if he’s able to trust in our developing relationship.
As we navigate through our tangled feelings, we vow to take it slow. Yet no matter how careful we try to be, things between us intensify—and there’s nothing we can do, or want to do, to stop it.
But the biggest question remains: Is chemistry enough to move beyond the past and toward a future together?

My Review
Okay, if there was an overload of sexual tension in No Weddings, One Funeral blew that overload right through the roof...in a very...good...way. You can feel everything continue to build between Cade and Hannah, taking everything to an unbelievable high until you know there's nothing else that can happen except combustion. And no matter how frustrated you might get along the way, take my word for it-it is SO worth it.
We get to see more and more into both Cade and Hannah's characters, and this time from Hannah's point of view. I did miss getting everything from Cade's POV this time around, but the change does not detract at all from the enjoyment of the story.
Fantastic descriptive writing sucks you in again, enveloping you in their world to the point that you don't want to put the book down. Plenty of tension-not just the sexual tension between Cade and Hannah, but also in dealing with Hannah's past (as well as Cade's, but this story is more focused on Hannah's).
The characters just keep getting stronger, resulting in another excellent read, and another 5-star rating from me. This is one series that I can't get enough of...and I sure can't get enough of Cade ;-)

Two Bar Mitzvahs:
Summer heats up in this third book in the No Weddings Series, where Cade Michaelson strives to balance his and Hannah Martin’s new relationship with the growing demands of his financial success.
Waiting for Hannah has been the best and worst kind of torture. Now I can claim her as mine. We believe we’re done with the past and can move forward together.
Hannah grows stronger than ever as she trusts in me—trusts in us. And when obstacles appear, she shows a surprising fierceness that rivals my own.
However, all is not perfect in paradise. Things get chaotic while I try to juggle multiple businesses, an ex from hell, and a girlfriend I’d do anything to keep. And in the middle of the whirlwind, I recklessly think I can handle everything.
But when all the madness is over, will I have everything I want—will I still have Hannah?
My review
After the final scene in One Funeral that released all of that tension that had built up, here in Two Bar Mitzvahs you're not going to see things just relax and characters become complacent. Because there's always your past ready to come bite you in the ass.
Hannah and Cade just cannot get enough of each other (if I was her, I wouldn't be able to get enough of Cade either), so when you see that "scorching" warning regarding the 18+ scenes, take it to heart...because your reading device just might melt this time around. You're going to get plenty of steamy action, all very tastefully done-and it will leave you looking for your significant other by the time you are through.
Everything in this story makes you fall more and more for Cade and Hannah. They are so sweet together, so undeniably perfect for each other, and work tirelessly for their relationship-even when Cade's past decides to rear it's nasty head. Or should I say HER nasty head.
But watching the two of them work through everything, with humor and with seriousness, seeing all the drama unfold and how they still make their way back to each other...the two of them are actually inspiring together. Although I don't agree with how Cade was handling his past for most of the story (I don't want to say more so I don't spoil anything for anyone else).
5 dramatic stars for Two Bar Mitzvahs, a sure bet if you're looking for an amazing series so be sure to start from the beginning.
