Title: Personal Entanglement
Series: Thorne and Dash, Book 2
Author: Silvia Violet
Release: April 30, 2016
Genre: M/M Romance

Blurb:
Several months ago Thorne hired Riley as an escort. They fell hard for each other and ultimately made their relationship personal rather than professional. Every moment they spend in bed is pure bliss, but good sex can’t solve all their problems as they struggle to make things work between them. Thorne convinces Riley to move in with him, but their differences in age and income weigh more heavily on Riley once they share a home.

If that weren’t enough, culinary school is turning out to be a disappointment for Riley rather than a dream come true, and he’s considering the daunting prospect of starting his own business. Thorne wants to swoop in and fix everything, but Riley keeps refusing Thorne’s money or advice,  feeling like he’s losing control over his own life.

Thorne and Riley will have to rely on their love for each other to help them find the balance between independence and entanglement.

Carra's Review of Personal Entanglement

When I read the first book of this series, Professional Distance, at the end I was wondering where the story could go from there.  But no need to worry--Personal Entanglement has plenty more in store for Thorne and Dash, and here we get friction in their relationship in addition to conflicting personal feelings that give enough drama to keep you once again glued to the pages-I know that was the case for me.

The intensity of Thorne and Dash's relationship is just as present now, actually even more so than in the first book thanks to the added complications of Dash/Riley starting school, him moving in to Thorne's home, and he and his business partner moving forward with their plans of opening their own catering/bakery business.  Right there you've got plenty of ingredients for angst and discord-especially when Riley/Dash feels like Thorne is taking control of his life, and Thorne is worried that the age gap between them will be too much.

The erotic scenes are just as provocative and intense as they were in book one, and I loved seeing Dash/Riley switch between personas in these scenes depending on what he thought Thorne needed.  Their chemistry is just as scorching as ever, and like with the first book you're going to want to keep your batteries charged, ice buckets handy and the a/c turned down really low--these scenes really are quite...um...stimulating ;-)

Both Thorne and Dash/Riley's characters grow and learn a lot in this story, which for me as a reader was deeply gratifying to see.  I would not want to envision any ending that didn't have them winding up together, so seeing the development of their characters, watching them falling ever more deeply in love--it's what fans of romance stories hope to find in every book they read.

An absolutely wonderful and thoroughly satisfying continuation of Thorne and Dash's story, Personal Entanglement was another 5-star read for me, and again a top recommendation in the genre.  Recommended for those M/M erotic romance fans 18+ for adult language and explicit M/M sexual content.

Carra's Review of Professional Distance

Well, mark me down as a new fan of Silvia Violet.  This is the first book I've read by this author, and I can tell you right now-it was a 5-star read for me.  I loved the characters, the storyline, and oh my goodness those naughty scenes were simply fantastic!

I'll be the first to tell you that I am not normally a fan of really big age gaps between the main characters in romances. Here we have a twenty-year gap, but right from the start of the story I can say that I honestly didn't give it any thought--even when the characters were bringing it up as a possible issue.  I was much too caught up in the incredibly intense relationship that built up between Thorne and Dash to even give it a second thought.  The chemistry between them is absolutely unreal, and it makes for some explosive erotic scenes between them...and those scenes are plentiful-to be expected considering Dash is after all a rent boy/escort.  But don't be put off by the amount of those scenes-there is plenty of story going on between Thorne and Dash outside of the bedroom as well.

Thorne is used to working non-stop, using money to fix problems, while relegating sex to something that is a time slot on his weekly schedule just to give him some release from his continually busy life.  He's afraid of a relationship, hence using an escort for those weekly appointments.  When Dash walks into that weekly spot after Thorne's regular escort is no longer available, he turns Thorne's world topsy-turvy, causing Thorne to change the way he thinks--and Thorne does the same to Dash.

The two of them together are a perfect match, but just when you think everything will end all roses and smiles...one of them makes a mistake.  By that point, I was desperately reading at mach speed trying to find out what happens because I just cannot imagine the two of them not ending up together.

Loved the story, adored the characters, and the way Dash and Thorne interact in and out of the bedroom had me not wanting to put this book down for any reason.  Like I couldn't wait to say earlier--5 stars for Professional Distance, and this is a top recommendation for me in M/M erotic romance.  Recommended to everyone 18+ who's a fan of this genre (adult language and explicit M/M sexual content that will have you needing extra batteries...and a lot of cold drinks...and cranking the a/c and fans on high...no, I'm not exaggerating).  I'm immediately diving in to the next book, Personal Entanglement because I can't get enough of Thorne and Dash!
