Watching Jude's cam show stirs desires Shawn's always denied...

Shawn is adrift. Recently graduated, he's stuck in a dead-end job that barely pays the bills. His girlfriend dumped him, his friends have moved on, and he's still in Plymouth-going nowhere.

Jude is a student living in the same shared house. Out and proud, he's everything Shawn's been running from since he hit puberty. When Shawn discovers Jude works as a cam boy, he can't resist the urge to watch one of his shows. It makes Shawn want things that scare him, yet his fascination forces him to confront his attraction.

Keen to explore his bicurious side, Shawn suggests they do a show together. Jude agrees, and things get complicated-and kinky-fast. But Jude isn't looking to get involved with someone so deep in the closet. If Shawn's going to get what he wants, he needs to find the courage to stop hiding from himself and be honest about who he is.

Carra's Review

Shawn was mostly an intolerant jerk in the previous books in this series, so I was keen to see how his story would turn out here in Watching and Wanting.  Not only is his behavior pretty much redeemed in this book, but it's done with one heck of a flourish of erotic heat between him and new housemate Jude.

Shawn came off in the previous books in this series as borderline homophobic...at the very least being narrow-minded and annoying in his reactions.  He does start off this book that way as well-and even keeps it up when things start to get confusing for him.  This story is in large part about his journey of acceptance of who he is-something he comes to realize through his interactions with Jude.  Now Jude--I love this guy.  He is totally out and incredibly comfortable with himself to the point of exhibitionism.  If anyone's going to help Shawn open up to his true nature, Jude is definitely the perfect guy to help.

Together?  Holy wow are these two hot.  As in steam-up-your-e-reader hot.  And things go from experimenting to a bit kinky as Shawn discovers more about himself and what his true wants really are.  You know by the synopsis that Jude is a cam boy...which opens things up to some hot dual-action online scenes between the two of them-and also has Shawn wanting so much more.

Watching and Wanting is a perfect addition to the Housemates series, and gets a strong 4.5-star rating from me.  I highly recommend this to any M/M romance fan, and if you're already a fan of the series you're going to be very happy with this story!  While this can be read as a standalone, personally I think you should read the first three books in the series so you can get the supporting characters' stories as I firmly believe it will enhance your enjoyment of this book.  This story is meant for readers 18+ for adult language and M/M sexual content (that oh my goodness, I need to cool down hot content!).
