My Review

I love a good anthology, especially when I get to read some of my favorite authors all in one place...and all brand new stories!  This is a nice collection of tales and gives the reader a great peek at what these authors have to offer:

Off Duty-Sawyer Bennett
This is a wonderful second chance romance, with the added twist of an interracial relationship.  But for Tim and Holly, that never even plays into what they feel for each other-not when they first were together in high school, and not now when they get their second chance...though the first time around it did play into what ripped them apart.  We get a terrific look at their reunion where they show that still-love is love.  4.5 stars

Rebound-Chelle Bliss
I've been a huge fan of this author's Men of Inked series right from the start, so when I found out that one of the supporting characters from that series would be getting his own story in this anthology, I was happy to be able to read more from this world.  Hot and sexy definitely describes everything between Sam and Fiona, but things also moved extremely fast between them-and I'm not usually fond of insta-love situations outside of a paranormal context.  Still a good read, 3.5 stars

Wanting to Forget-Toni Aleo
Though I have a bunch of Toni's books, this is the first chance I've had to read any of them.  The writing was great, and at first I liked Jordie's character, but the overall tone of the story and the absolute manwhore that Jordie is in it just weren't for me.  BUT-it does intrigue me for his whole story that's coming soon to see if he redeems himself.  3 stars

Closet Confession-Kindle Alexander
Every single thing I've read by Kindle I've absolutely loved, and Closet Confession is no exception.  Kindle has a way of writing M/M that gets you thoroughly invested in the characters, and the relationships show a depth of emotion that's not often seen even in M/F books.  This glimpse at Justin and Derek was fantastic-if a bit of a tease (MORE PLEASE!)-and of course hot!  Far and away my favorite story of the anthology, 5 stars

Healing Touch-Brenda Rothert
LOVED Joss and Carson.  The way they meet, the quick spark between them, how perfectly they seem to fit together...it all makes for a great, sexy read and leaves you wanting more of their story.  4.5 stars

Swimming in Shadows-Eden Butler
This was an interesting, well-written introduction to Eden's Shadows series.  Filled with some great storytelling and some hot and steamy scenes, it definitely piqued my interest for the series, and I can't wait to read more about Neil Ryan and the secrets he's trying to untangle.  4 stars

This is an overall 4 star read for me, and I would definitely recommend it for adult readers (18+ only).  Plenty of drama, plenty of steam, plus I loved that they were all situated in New Orleans with a common tying factor of Tulane Medical Center, it helped tie together the entire anthology.  #loveislove #1click4charity
