Excerpt

If anyone ever needed a f*cking hug, it was Travis right now, and it made Derek’s heart ache. He took a step forward, wanting to embrace the lost soul in front of him. He longed to feel this man in his arms again and wanted another gentle kiss. He hesitated only because Travis made no move to bridge the space between them, and because of the remark earlier about people only wanting sex from him. Derek decided he was going to dispel that myth, and wrapped his arms around Travis. The guy clung to him. Travis dug his fingers into Derek’s shoulder, pulling Derek’s T-shirt into his fists and burying his face into Derek’s neck. The intensity took Derek by surprise and overwhelmed him with compassion and empathy. He held Travis tighter, melding their bodies together and shouldering whatever burdens lurked inside this passionate man.




Carra's Review

This has been a fantastic series so far, and this book is no exception.  The author delivered another well written story that flowed smoothly and easily drew me back in to the Bulletproof world.  While this could be read as a standalone, I would recommend reading the books in order to get the full background of the band and its members, it will definitely enhance your enjoyment of this story.

I really liked Derek and Travis together.  Travis had past and current issues that made his character one I really wanted to see get a happily ever after.  The author did a good job of handling those issues, evoking protective feelings from me, and making me want to just scoop Travis up in a comforting hug.  Derek is wonderful with his support, and their story really tugged at my heart.  There's plenty of emotion and angst, and Travis' strength to push through made their journey and ending all the more satisfying.  

It was also great to see how far all the band members have come from when we first met them at the beginning of the series.  This really is a great ensemble of characters, and this story just emphasizes what an engaging series this is.

Bulletproof was a 4.5-star read for me, and I highly recommend this story along with the rest of the series.  It's definitely made it difficult to decide which book is my favorite!  This book is meant for readers 18+.
