Blog Tour, Review and Giveaway: For Now by Chelsea M. Cameron

For Now by Chelsea M. Cameron

November 2014

BOOK BLURB:

Two people. A relationship with no commitment. What could go wrong?

Javier Cruz definitely isn’t relationship material, but that suits Hazel Gellar just fine. She’s not a girlfriend girl and doesn’t plan on ever being one.

But after a mind-blowing, bed-breaking night, she knows once isn’t going to be enough. Fortunately, Javi feels the same way. And it's not just the sex.  Javi is funny and complicated and Hazel loves being around him, even when he drives her nuts.

Will she and Javi make the choice to be together for longer than just right NOW?  Or will their hangups about romance be the end?

My Review

I loved the first book of this series, For Real, and I was excited to get to read Hazel and Javier's story in For Now since I really liked both of their characters in the first story.

First off, you're going to laugh.  Both Hazel and Javi are full of spunk and play off each other well, listening to the two of them go at each other (verbally people...don't let your minds go the other way quite yet!) is pretty funny and makes for a good read.  They are both very strong-willed and both have their own family issues.  And you do get to see a softer, sweeter side to Javi as well, which I really liked.

I was surprised though that I really didn't feel a strong emotional bond between them like I did for Jett and Shannon in the first book.  But Jett and Shannon are the sweet couple (which by the way, it was FANTASTIC to be able to read more about them in this book!)...Hazel and Javi, they're the tough couple-they seem to be more of a physical pairing than an emotional one.  And for that, they sure do match up perfectly.

And the scene with the bed.  Yeah, that fits them perfectly too ;-)

This is a fun, quick read and a great companion story to For Real.  A solid 4-stars!
