Until he catches sight of Rico Estevez, the sexy chef with the mysterious smile who rocks his world. After one explosive night together, Adam craves another….And then another. The more he and Rico are together, the more Adam wants him.

A future he never imagined
Rico Estevez is living a lie. For years he’s hidden his sexuality, afraid to hurt the career of his politically ambitious father. He’s the perfect American―the best schools, top of his class and most importantly, to his father, a successful businessman. Who needs a boyfriend when sex is so easy to find? Starting a torrid love affair with Adam Barton isn’t a problem; neither one is looking toward forever. But Rico’s father is about to get the chance of a lifetime and Rico feels forced to play by his rules.

Rules are made to be broken
Adam proves more unforgettable than Rico ever imagines, but he gives in to family pressures above personal desire. When a fire reunites them, both men discover their passion for each other hasn’t died; rather it’s stronger than ever. Want turns to need and something more dangerous to their hearts—love. Adam and Rico know if they want to have it all, they can let no one and nothing stand in their way of a life together.

Learning to Love

The Way to His Heart

About Felice

FeliceStevensI have always been a romantic at heart. I believe that while life is tough, there is always a happy ending around the corner, My characters have to work for it, however. Like life in NYC, nothing comes easy and that includes love, but getting there is oh so fun and oh so sexy.

I live in New York City with my husband and two children. My day begins with a lot of caffeine and ends with a glass (or two of red wine). I practice law but daydream of a time when I can sit by a beach somewhere and write beautiful stories of men falling in love. Although there are bound to be a few bumps along the way, a Happily Ever After is always guaranteed.

Cover Reveal & Excerpt: DENVER'S CALLING by JJ Harper-Includes Pre-Order Links!

DENVER'S CALLING
COVER REVEAL

When Denver’s long-term partner breaks up with him, he flees his life, his career, and his bright future as one of the country’s leading trauma surgeons. Ditching everything but his dog, Denver returns to the quiet town of Cooper’s Ridge and his parents’ ranch.
Leaving twelve years earlier, Denver knew he would never be accepted as a gay man in an unaccepting town. So, when he meets Kes—an old school friend—in the bar he owns, he is shocked to find him in an openly gay relationship. Something he never thought would happen here.
What surprises him even more is the instant, mutual attraction the three men have. Accepting a job in Kes’ bar, they dance around each other, wanting them but not believing he would ever fit in with a couple so obviously in love. But, they want him. And they are not prepared to let him go.
Denver takes a risk and accepts their offer of a night out, finding a side of himself he never knew existed. Not trusting himself to be enough for the two men, the desire blooming in him is unprecedented and he can’t deny it: he wants them as much.
He finds his life falling into place, all because of two men. Is it possible he found his forever in a place he never expected it?

Excerpt
“You’re killing me here! Seriously? A glory hole, in the restroom?” I’m laughing so hard, I nearly tip over the chair I’m leaning back on.

“It’s not f*cking funny, you asshole. I just want to know if you can come over and fix it?” Kester is trying not to laugh, I can hear it, but I love winding him up.

“For you, baby, anything. I’ll get another divide and come on over.” I drop the front two legs of the chair back down on the floor.

“Thank you, I’d like it done before opening tonight.” Kes sounds more relaxed.

“Only because I love you, but there’s one condition: we have to try it first.” Damn, the thought of that has my d*ck throbbing.

“Hmm, maybe. It depends how quickly you can get here,” he chuckles.

“I’m on my way.” I end the call and pick up my keys.

I’m still smiling when I hit the builders’ merchants. I have no problem choosing the correct piece since it was me who fitted out the bar when Kes bought it and needed to refurbish the whole place.

I shake my head as I remember seeing Kes for the first time in years. I knew him, of course. But, as he’s older, we were never friends at school and I would never have been brave enough to approach him anyway. Kester Dereham was the coolest kid in school: smart, baseball captain, and so damn hot in his tight white pants. I spent hours dreaming of him. And jerking off. Hell yeah, plenty of hours whacking one off with his face filling my mind. He’d gone off to college and only came back during the summers and holidays and, still, we never socialized in the same circle.

I was surprised when I heard he’d moved back for good and saddened for the reason, so I was more than ready to do the refit for him. I wasn’t prepared for him to remember me, let alone come on to me. I had no idea he was gay but, hell, I was never gonna turn him down. That was two years ago. We now have a house together and have been accepted by our, normally closeminded, community as a couple.

Pulling up outside the bar, I grab my tool bag from the back of the truck, leaving the partition where it is for now. Sauntering up to the door, I tap on the glass and wait for him to reach me, giving me time to take all of him in. He stands taller than me at six foot, with dirty blond hair that is long enough to tie back at the nape of his neck. Under the tight, black T-shirt with the bar’s name emblazoned across the front, I can see the outline of his firm, muscular body, the one I know intimately and have mapped every plane of with my tongue. His hazel eyes sparkle and his smile widens as he reaches me.

“Hey, baby, you have moved quickly. Always so eager to please.” Kes’ voice lowers as he leans in to kiss me. His mouth hovers over mine briefly, but long enough to make me sigh in need, then presses firmly onto mine.

Harrisburg Railers Series

Changing Lines (Book #1) - Amazon US | Amazon UK | KOBO | Smashwords |Barnes and Noble | iTunes

Blurb

Layton wants success, Adler wants family, how can love make both these things possible?

Layton Foxx works hard for what he has. The condo, the career, the chance to make his mark, is all down to the sacrifices he has made. With tragedy in his past, he doesn't want or need love. Then he meets Adler Lockhart, the extroverted, sexy winger for the Harrisburg Railers and abruptly he can't avoid love even if he wanted to.

Adler Lockhart has had everything handed to him his whole life. Cars, villas, cash, college tuition at the finest Ivy League schools. The only things he doesn't have are parents who care or the love of a good man. Then Layton walks into his privileged life and shows him what real love can be like.

Carra's Review

Okay, I’ve got say…Adler was a trip.  His thought pattern and the way his mind would race from one thing to the next made him seem younger than he was, and most of the time it came across as adorable, though when his thoughts reaffirmed his separate upbringing from his parents it increased my sympathy for him quite a bit.  His lack of a brain-to-mouth filter made for some great lines, some of which had me laughing out loud.  Adler edged out Layton by just a tiny bit for my favorite in this story.

Layton, with the darkness he experienced in his past, was one that I wanted to give a giant, never-ending hug and let him know he was safe.  I loved that Adler was able to understand the subtle cues Layton gave to show his uneasiness in certain situations, and that Adler would immediately adapt to make Layton more comfortable.  It was a classic show of how the two of them complemented each other.

We get to see plenty of Tennant and Jared from book one of the series as parts of their story continued to play out, and also the other team members like Stan (Stan is just AWESOME) who were introduced in Changing Lines.  There’s also some establishment of what’s to come as the series progresses, which for me was a tease that has me really wanting the next book ASAP.

First Season was a great 4.5-star read for me, and I do highly recommend it (along with the first book) to M/M romance fans, and if you love hockey romance…even better!  While you could probably read it as a standalone, I would strongly recommend reading Changing Lines first—it will definitely increase your enjoyment of First Season to get Tennant and Jared’s backstory.  This book is for readers 18+ for adult language and sexual content, as well as references to an event in Layton’s past that may be disturbing for some readers.
