Making it Happen's 5-Year Blogiversary Giveaway!

Welcome to my 5-year Blogiversary!  I can't believe it's actually been that long since I started this blog...I must be having fun, because the time sure has flown!

So, here's a little background on how Making it Happen came about...

Back in August/September of 2009, I had started to become serious again about losing weight and had joined a free site called Sparkpeople.com to help me track my food and exercise (plus it has recipes, articles and forums-all free).  I had read an article there about training for a 5K and thought "I could do that!"  And then I decided what better way to keep myself honest than by sharing that journey on a public blog?  Even if no one else read it, I'd have it for myself as a journal.

Posts came and went, sometimes with a lot of time in between, sometimes not.  While not necessarily consistent (like the weight loss LOL), I was still around trying to keep up with posting.  Then earlier this year, I decided to change the main focus of my blog to one of my other obsessions, books, and started posting my book reviews, joining blog tours, release day launches and cover reveals (I do still do personal posts from time to time of course).  I suppose the rest is history ;-)  I am the only one running the blog, doing all of the posts myself as well as keeping up with my blog's Facebook page and Twitter.  

On October 3, 2014, I hit my 5-year blogiversary.  I've had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful authors and other bloggers, and have had a fantastic time along the way.  To celebrate, I wanted to give back to my readers, who have helped my blog grow quite a bit since I started out.
