Carra's Quick Review
I love the premise of the story, and the tension between the characters is fantastic with the enemies-to-lovers aspect. My only issue is that with the negativity Connor’s human side shows towards Micah, it’s hard to feel the “love” they are professing to one another, especially so quickly. Even so, the struggle Connor goes through with his wolf and human sides in disagreement over Micah adds quite a bit to the tension of the story.
I was fascinated by Micah and Joseph’s unique bond, and it definitely made for a unique situation. There's a lot more to their story than what we see at first, and it was the slow unfolding of the truth that had me hooked.

The Guilty Werewolf
Declan Finlay is the best Retriever that Glitnir has.
Well, he is now that Connor Strand has gone rogue.
He is sent to find Connor - the guilty werewolf. But he doubts that his best friend could ever be guilty and he resolves to track him down and find out why he ran with the renegade vampire.
When the Fae Alliance, reporting to Glitnir, demand that he not go alone he is forced to accept the Incubus, Levi Tiernan, an assassin, as his companion on the journey. If Declan doesn't kill Connor, then Levi will.
What happens when old lust and love dictate action and suddenly Declan is questioning everything he loves.
Carra's Quick Review
Since Declan and Levi already have a bit of a past together, it made things between them more believable for me than with Connor and Micah. Declan and Levi have chemistry that continually sparks between them, and you don’t want to resist the pull that their characters have on you as you're reading.
This story pulls from the age-old "do I believe the man I love" versus "do I believe the establishment I've trusted my whole life" dilemma, with the added twists of the paranormal side of their lives. It's also a bit of second chance story, which is a favorite of mine. The pull between Declan and Levi is strong, and I was particularly intrigued by how Levi was strengthened (as an incubus) by Declan's love towards him.
4.5 stars for The Guilty Werewolf! For readers 18+.
The Warlock’s Secret
In a world where magic is rare, Joseph Jamieson is one of the most powerful holders of power. Orophin Tiwele, or Phin to his friends, is the son of the Elf King and has magic of his own. The rules say two supernatural beings with magic cannot be together and Joseph and Phin have lived by that rule despite their attraction to each other.
The resistance is growing larger each day, but traitors threaten everything Joseph has built. He wants peace, but soon comes to realize the way to peace, is through war.
When the only thing that will save lives is Joseph and Phin working together, it becomes impossible to see where magic and passion end and where love could begin.
Carra's Quick Review
This story pulls again from the second chance romance trope, and as a reader I was hoping that this time around something would happen for Joseph and Phin once I learned the background to their story.
There's a nice round of drama in this one, from the events at the Glitnir library, to what Joseph goes through while there, to what Phin does for him afterward (sorry, to tell you more would really spoil it for you). We also get to go deeper into the prophecy of the twins to unlock even more drama for this saga.
I was a bit unhappy with the way Joseph treated Phin once they first got together, it did make me doubt his feelings for a bit.
There's still so much to be resolved, and I'm looking forward to seeing how things play out in the second volume of this series. 4 stars for The Warlock's Secret, for readers 18+
