Book Review: A SEAL's Kiss (Uniformly Hot!) by Tawny Weber

A SEAL's Kiss (Uniformly Hot SEALs, #4)A SEAL's Kiss by Tawny Weber

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received a copy of this book through a Goodreads First Reads giveaway. Review has mild spoilers.

This is the fourth book I've read in this author's Uniformly Hot SEAL's series. The writing was good as this author's usually is and the story flows nicely making for an easy, quick read. The characters are very likable, especially Aiden since not only is he a hot Navy SEAL, he's also brilliant.

I was a little thrown at how the main female character, Sage, so randomly tossed out her "engagement" to Aiden as the reason she didn't want her friends setting her up with anyone. Even if she didn't expect him to come home, her excuse is really something she should have run by him first before just blurting it out, which makes the setup for the story feel a bit contrived to me.

Once things get going after that, the story evens out and you get all the fun (and funny) things that go along with two people pretending to be engaged, plus the added buildup of their very real feelings for each other as the charade goes on. You'll get a nice dose of steamy scenes between Sage and Aiden that are for the 18+ crowd.

The rockiness between them toward the end made for a bit less smooth of a read and the ending seemed to wrap up all too quickly, but overall you'll get a fun, sexy read with A SEAL's Kiss.
